Job Summary:

KIMC is seeking an Analyst – Investments to support the Equity and Credit teams, including the Value-Add, Affordable, and Credit strategies. The Analyst – Investments will support the underwriting process and assist with portfolio management demonstrating working knowledge in deal underwriting and financial modeling across all asset classes.

 

Job Responsibilities:

• Underwriting and performing financial and comparable analyses on new deals as well as on existing investments. Potential deals include fee, joint venture, preferred equity, mezzanine, senior loan, note-on-note, and distressed investments across Value-Add, Affordable, and Credit strategies.
• Preparing Investment Memorandums presented to the Investment Committee for discussion of major capital transactions – primarily acquisitions, dispositions, refinancings, and leveraging of new and existing investments.
• Support the Investment Management Team in arranging financing on new and existing investments and subsequently onboarding and transitioning new acquisitions.
• Specific projects and other functions as required by the Investment Management Team.

 

Qualifications & Competencies:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field preferred.
• 1-3 years of industry experience.
• Excel and Argus modeling proficiency.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks while delivering quality work product.
• Well-organized and detailed oriented with the highest degree of integrity, motivation and intellectual curiosity.
• Skilled in working across heavily matrixed organizations which requires significant collaboration skills.
• Strong presentation and communication skills – both oral and written.
• Ability to work in Irvine, CA office 5 days a week.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Compensation:

The annual U.S. based wage range for this full-time position is $80,000 – $100,000 annual. The base pay actually offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, location and experience and will take into account internal equity.  Other forms of pay may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of health & wellness benefits.
