Job Summary:
KIMC is seeking an Investment Manager to support the Credit Strategy team. The Investment Manager will lead underwriting, source new opportunities and assist with portfolio management. The Investment Manager shall demonstrate strong knowledge of underwriting and documentation associated with structured debt. The Investment Manager should be able to identify issues on complex transactions with a business-oriented and problem-solving mindset.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead credit underwriting for commercial real estate structured debt investments.
- Source new financing opportunities in the market.
- Review and negotiate commercial real estate loan document business and legal terms.
- Review necessary leases, agreements, third party reports including zoning, seismic, appraisal, environmental, and engineering reports.
- Assist lending partners on due diligence during the syndication process.
- Monitor and manage the cash flow model.
- Work with the Asset Management team and the accounting team to create quarterly and annual investor reports.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Competencies:
- Must be a team player with comfort working collaboratively and independently in a high growth and high demand environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of structured debt including A/B note, senior/mezzanine, note-on-note, preferred equity, and distressed investment.
- Strong underwriting skillsets including Argus and Excel modeling.
- Well-organized and detail-oriented individual with the highest degree of integrity, motivation, and intellectual curiosity.
- Strong verbal, written, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while delivering quality work product.
- Willingness to travel as needed.

Compensation:
The annual U.S. based wage range for this full-time position is $120,000.00 – 140,000.00. The base pay actually offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, location and experience and will take into account internal equity. Other forms of pay may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of health & wellness benefits.
