Senior Analyst – Asset Management

Job Summary:

KIMC is looking for a Senior Analyst to provide support to the Asset Management Team. This role will be responsible for conducting and documenting investment analysis for both commercial and multi-family projects. This role provides an opportunity to gain Investment Management exposure in an entrepreneurial private equity environment with frequent exposure to the company’s executives.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in presentations to senior management and investor reporting.
  • Thoroughly analyze the impact of lease transactions and capital projects to property value (discounted cash flow analysis) and cash-on-cash returns.
  • Maintain and analyze weekly lease comps & traffic reports.
  • Assist with annual operating budgets, capital budgets and business plans.
  • Monitor LIHTC compliance and essential housing required reporting.
  • Maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual operational financial reports.
  • Due diligence and analysis for refinances and dispositions.
  • Prepare cash flow and capital distribution waterfalls.
  • Prepare and maintain reforecasting and fund cash flow models.

 

Qualifications & Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university in economics, finance, accounting, real estate, or related field (MBA a plus).
  • 2 – 4 years of overall direct real estate experience.
  • Proficiency in Argus and other real estate analytical tools and software.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and complex financial modeling including CAM Reconciliations.
  • Experience working with commercial office and multi-family product.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and writing skills.
  • Thorough understanding of the physical and financial aspects of property performance, and the relationship between the two.
  • Well-organized and detailed oriented individual with the highest degree of integrity, motivation and intellectual curiosity.
  • Skilled in working across heavily matrixed organizations which requires significant influencing and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in Irvine, CA office 5 days a week.
  • Some travel expected.

Compensation:

The annual U.S. based wage range for this full-time position is $95,000 – $115,000 annually. The base pay actually offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, location and experience take into account internal equity.  Other forms of pay may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of health & wellness benefits.
