Alan Araki is Senior Investment Director and Head of Asset Management for Kairos. Mr. Araki joined Kairos in 2022 and directs the firm’s Asset Management strategy and decisions.

Mr. Araki has over 30 years of real estate investment experience in various finance, acquisition, asset/portfolio management, and property management capacities.

Between 2011 and 2019, Mr. Araki was Senior Managing Director at Primestor Development where he oversaw all facets of investment, capital markets, and asset/portfolio management activities. During his tenure as Senior Managing Director, Primestor developed, redeveloped, and operated commercial retail properties in various underserved communities within the Southern California region.  These transactions were capitalized with either private, institutional, and/or public assistance.

Prior to Primestor Development, Mr. Araki was Managing Director with Metzler North America, a subsidiary of a German Investment Bank and was responsible for all facets of the investment process including sourcing, underwriting, negotiating, due diligence and closing real estate transactions in western US markets. Before Metzler, Mr. Araki also held similar positions with CBRE Investors and Prudential Real Estate Investors (now PGIM) in both Los Angeles and San Francisco. At Prudential, he was responsible for acquisition and joint venture development transactions for office, industrial, retail, multifamily and condominium properties throughout the western US. Overall, Mr. Araki has participated in acquiring and/or structuring over $4 billion in transactions over the last 25 years.

Mr. Araki is a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
