Heather Lewis joined Kairos in 2022 as Chief Compliance Officer and is responsible for overseeing and leading the compliance department, working closely internally and externally to ensure compliance across the organization. Ms. Lewis leads the development and implementation of compliance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure that the regulatory obligations of the company are continuously executed.

Prior to joining Kairos, Ms. Lewis served as the Compliance Supervisor for Altegris located in La Jolla, California where she became a General Securities Representative (Series 7 – inactive), as well as the Compliance Manager for a real estate investment advisor located in Irvine, California. She began her career as a phone clerk for a discount commodities broker in the S&P pit at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and spent 10 years at Northern Trust where she served many roles. During her tenure, she worked as a derivatives analyst within the operations division, a performance analyst within the Corporate and Institutional Services Unit, and as a consultant and officer for institutional clients, advising on compliance related items. A Chicago native, Ms. Lewis previously relocated from Chicago to Southern California as a Compliance Analyst for a large global fixed income asset manager and spent time as an investment analyst for an institutional investment consultant.

Ms. Lewis holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from DePaul University of Chicago, IL. She is a member of the National Society of Compliance Professionals.
