Joon Chang joined Kairos in 2022 as an Associate Investment Manager with a focus on the firm’s Credit Strategy. Mr. Chang’s primary responsibilities include underwriting for structured debt investments, loan document negotiation, and portfolio management.

Prior to joining Kairos, Mr. Chang worked as an Associate at BridgeRock Capital, a New York-based commercial real estate investment advisory firm, where he focused his efforts on underwriting, special servicing, loan workouts, and asset management across different asset classes on behalf of global investors.

Additionally, Mr. Chang worked at a leading regional commercial real estate investment company in Korea with a focus on distressed asset investments. Mr. Chang also served as a First Lieutenant in the Republic of Korea Air Force for 3 years where he participated in bilateral and multilateral meetings as a negotiation officer representing the Korean government.

Mr. Chang received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics with a focus on International Economics from the University of Virginia. He also holds a Master of Science degree in Real Estate Development from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
