John McGee joined Kairos in 2023 as Senior Investment Director with a focus on affordable housing. Mr. McGee brings over 20 years of affordable housing experience with specialized knowledge in acquisitions, dispositions, and asset management.

Prior to joining Kairos, Mr. McGee was responsible for managing DeSola Capital Group’s national investment acquisitions platform. He sourced, underwrote, financed, and closed LIHTC, HUD and market rate multifamily investment opportunities throughout the United States. Mr. McGee also spent over 10 years at Steadfast Companies in various leadership roles, including leading the company’s disposition group. During his career, Mr. McGee has closed over $1 billion in real estate transactions, financed over $600 million in Freddie, Fannie and FHA debt, and raised over $275 million in tax credit equity.

Mr. McGee holds a Master of Business Administration degree in Corporate Finance from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from the University of Notre Dame.
