Job Summary:

The Senior Transaction Manager is responsible for managing and executing a variety of complex commercial real estate transactions across the Credit and Equity strategies. This individual will work closely with senior management to govern the investment transaction processes which include the origination of senior and mezzanine debt, preferred equity, joint venture, and equity investments in various asset classes and real estate strategies.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist Debt and Equity teams in the closing of awarded investments by gathering and reviewing due diligence and coordinating closing activities with internal and external parties.
  • Create and maintain closing checklists and communicate closing status with appropriate team members.
  • Deliver instructions and requests to title/escrow, third party vendors, borrowers (and their financial advisors), etc. and confirm receipt of requested documentation.
  • Manage the organization of received due diligence items within Kairos’ internal document management systems.
  • Coordinate tasks and review of due diligence and documentation with outside legal counsel to ensure a smooth and organized closing process.
  • Coordinate internal funding processes with the Accounting team.
  • Orchestrate the post-closing transition of loans to third-party loan servicers alongside the Credit Asset Management team.
  • Foster client relationships by bringing a positive attitude and providing excellent client service.

Qualifications & Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in business administration, finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years of work experience in transaction management at a commercial real estate firm.
  • Well-organized and detail-oriented individual with the highest degree of integrity, motivation, and intellectual curiosity.
  • Must be a team player who is comfortable working both collaboratively and independently in a high growth and high demand environment.
  • Thorough understanding of due diligence and title/escrow processes.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Paralegal experience a plus, but not required.
  • Ability to work in a high-paced, dynamic office located in Irvine, CA 5 days per week.

The annual U.S. based wage range for this full-time position is $100,000 – $110,000. The base pay actually offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, location and experience and will take into account internal equity. Other forms of pay may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of health & wellness benefits.
