Jesse McDonald joined Kairos in 2023 as a Senior Investment Director – Real Estate Credit. Based in New Jersey, Mr. McDonald leads origination efforts on the East Coast focusing on sourcing distressed debt investment opportunities and expanding Kairos’ banking relationships. Mr. McDonald has over 25 years of commercial real estate lending experience covering senior, mezzanine, and A/B Note loan origination and structuring as well as underwriting, asset management, portfolio management and loan sales.

Prior to joining Kairos, Mr. McDonald served as a Managing Director – Commercial Real Estate Originations at CIBC for 11 years focused on sourcing, structuring, and underwriting floating, fixed and construction loans in excess of $6.4 billion. Mr. McDonald also served as Executive Vice President at Anglo Irish Bank for 6 years where he originated over $3.8 billion in loans. Other notable positions included commercial real estate lending roles at Westdeutsche ImmobilienBank and JPMorgan Chase Mortgage Capital, and a manager within PricewaterhouseCooper’s Real Estate Consulting group.

Mr. McDonald received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Business Administration from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He is a non-active Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York.
