Julien Christensen joined Kairos in 2023 as Corporate Controller and is responsible for all operational accounting, reporting, and finance functions of the corporate organization. Mr. Christensen oversees the planning, forecasting, accounting, accounts receivable and payable activities and administers the firm’s banking and insurance programs and relationships.
Mr. Christensen held various senior leadership roles in accounting and finance in the asset management and financial service industries. Prior to joining Kairos, Mr. Christensen led the finance function for a high-growth, nation-wide, investment bank and financial services firm, Palm Tree LLC, where he was responsible for financial budgeting and forecasting, capital and cash flow management, strategic finance, financial and management reporting, and operational and technical accounting. Prior to Palm Tree, Mr. Christensen served as the Vice President of Accounting and Assistant Controller at PIMCO LLC. Prior to PIMCO, he was the Global Finance Manager, Assistant Vice President of Financial and Regulatory Reporting and Technical Accounting at The Capital Group Companies. Mr. Christensen began his career in public accounting at KPMG with exposure to a wide variety of clients, including investment managers with assets under management of $25 billion to over $2 trillion and alternative asset funds. During his tenure at KPMG, Mr. Christensen grew to a Senior Manager in which he was a national instructor for data and analytics and lead the Southern California healthcare practice.
Mr. Christensen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies from the University of California, Irvine. He is a Certified Public Accountant and was a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.
